During studies conducted before construction of the church, a 2,000-year old archaeological site was identied. Our team found over 7,000 artifacts including stone tools and ceramics. Small groups occupied this site during seasonal rounds and perhaps as an outpost for trade and exchange.
Additional Interest: Church members volunteered to work on the site and learn more about prehistoric cultures.
