Christine Davis, President

Christine Davis, President and founder of Christine Davis Consultants, Inc. (CDC), serves as Principal Investigator for the firm. Ms. Davis has over 27 years of experience in cultural resource management, and has conducted over 750 archaeological and historic resource surveys in rural, urban and industrial settings. She specializes in Section 106 compliance projects and has coordinated numerous open-end contracts in the transportation and utility fields. Christine graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s Degree in Archaeology with honors and was the “Student of the Year.” She is currently listed on the Register of Professional Archaeologists (ROPA).
Before starting her own business, Ms. Davis was employed as a historian by the Historic American Building Survey/Historic American Engineering Record (HABS/HAER) Division of the National Park Service Ms. Davis also worked at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Section of Anthropology where she currently holds an honorary position of Field Associate.

Mindy See, Project Manager

Mindy See has with over 18 years of experience managing 350 cultural resource projects in mindy_309_small1Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and New York.   Mindy specializes in Section 106 compliance projects including Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), and Categorical Exclusion Evaluations (CEE).  She prepares historic contexts, historic resource survey forms, Criteria of Effect Reports, and Section 4 (f) documents.  She supervises and manages all of CDC’s documents and assures Quality Control.  She also maintains financial records, databases, and certifications.  

 

Curtis L. Biondich, Pricinpal, Archaeology

Curtis Biondich has been employed by Christine Davis Consultants, Inc. (CDC) since March of 1994. Hired as a Field Technician and Laboratory Assistant, Mr. Biondich was promoted in June of 1996 to a supervisory position as Crew Chief. In 1998, Mr. Biondich received a Master of Science degree with an emphasis on archaeology from Duquesne University, cross-registering at the University of Pittsburgh for graduate classes in archaeology. After receiving his graduate degree, Mr. Biondich added report preparation to his responsibilities. Trained in computer-aided graphics (CAD), Mr. Biondich delineates all field maps for the company’s reports.

Mr. Biondich has supervised field operations and participated in the preparation of technical reports for approximately 65 prehistoric, historic and industrial archaeological projects. In January 2000, Mr. Biondich was promoted to Project Manager. In this capacity he is responsible for the preparation of reports and proposals as well as the management of archaeological field operations. He also specializes in Section 106 compliance projects contributing to Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), and Categorical Exclusion Evaluations (CEE). In August 2000, Mr. Biondich received approval for Principal Investigator status from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

Heather R. Adams, B.S.
Cultural Resource Specialist

Heather Adams has been with Christine Davis Consultants, Inc. since August of 2003. Ms. Adams began working as an archaeological field technician and was promoted to Assistant Crew Chief and then Cultural Resource Specialist.  Heather supervises our laboratory and participates in the preparation of technical reports for both prehistoric and historic resources,.

Heather graduated from Mercyhurst College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree concentrating in archaeology and anthropology with a minor in geology. While at Mercyhurst, Ms. Adams worked as a field crew member, in the archaeology laboratory, and in the Institute’s Stratigraphy and Petrology Laboratories. As a senior research project, Ms. Adams helped to complete The Petrographic Analysis of Armstrong County Sites, (36AR144) and (36AR461). Heather has twelve years of field experience and artifact curation.

Joshua M. Pfarr, Field Supervisor

Joshua Pfarr was born and raised in the town of Loveland, Ohio just outside of Cincinnati. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Mercyhurst Archaeological Institute of Mercyhurst College in the spring of 2003. Since 2001, Joshua has participated in historic and prehistoric archaeological surveys and excavations located in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast, and Southwest United States. In 2008, following the completion of a thesis concerning the geoarchaeology of prehistoric agriculture in the Southwest, Joshua received his Master of Arts degree from Eastern New Mexico University. He has been a crew chief with Christine Davis Consultants since the spring of 2008.

Michael Wozniak, Crew Chief

Michael Wozniak was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh in December of 2005. Michael has been with Christine Davis Consultants, Inc. since November of 2006. He began work at CDC, Inc. as an archaeological field technician and was promoted to Crew Chief in July of 2007.

Leigh Campetti, Assistant Crew Chief

Originally from Massachusetts, Leigh Campetti graduated from the University of Bristol, England in 2007 with a B.A. in Archaeology and Anthropology. During her time at university, Leigh participated both as student and supervisor in numerous field schools throughout Southwest England and Wales, and worked professionally with several major archaeological contractors. Upon graduating, Leigh took a position with the Museum of London Archaeological Service, before returning to the United States. After a nearly a year of work as an archaeologist throughout the Northeast, Leigh joined the Christine Davis crew in July of 2008. Leigh is particularly experienced with complex urban stratigraphy and has a special interest in human osteology and the recovery of ancient and historical human remains.

Andre Parquette, Assistant Crew Chief

Andre Parquette brings experience from multiple CRM firms with him to Christine Davis Consultants, Inc. Andre’s knowledge and implementation of diverse methodological excavation, sampling and survey techniques supports the field crew throughout various phases of archaeological investigation. Being a southwestern Pennsylvania native and graduate of California University of Pennsylvania’s Anthropology program, Andre maintains ongoing enthusiasm towards his professional opportunities at CDC, which provide him active involvement in data recovery efforts pertaining to his primary scholarly interest, the prehistoric Upper Ohio River Valley.
